Curriculum Overview

Seton Hall’s P.A. program is team-taught by practicing P.A.s, physicians and doctoral-trained faculty. The curriculum builds a solid foundation in medical science, clinical skills and research — preparing graduates to become competent and compassionate P.A.s

This 96-credit, three-year program equips students to deliver high-quality care through continuous clinical training. From the first semester, students engage directly with patients, practicing history-taking and physical exam skills.

The second and third years build on that foundation with hands-on learning across varied clinical settings. Students complete a minimum of 52 weeks of core and elective rotations, gaining real-world experience in diverse areas of care.

Are there GPA requirements?

For an application to move forward, the applicant must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 as well as a GPA of 3.2 in the prerequisite coursework.

What is the admissions committee looking for?

Applicants must demonstrate they can perform at a high level while taking a heavy course load. Beyond that, the committee looks for unique skills, talents and abilities that will help the entire class to succeed.
