Seton Hall’s M.S.N., Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program prepares you to excel in providing a wide range of patient care services, including primary and specialty care — from newborns to older adults — through a flexible, online format.
Designed for working nurses, our asynchronous online FNP program offers the convenience to study from anywhere. Learn in a 100% online format from expert faculty who are also practicing clinicians. Admissions Requirements
In addition to the university's general requirements, the College of Nursing requires the following from M.S.N. - Family Nurse Practitioner applicants:
- A Baccalaureate degree with a major in nursing from an N.L.N.A.C., A.C.E.N., or C.C.N.E. accredited program;
- For recent BSN graduates, acceptance will be granted post NCLEX passing by August 15th of the year admitted to the program; proof of one-year full-time employment is required prior to the start of practicum courses (year 2).

Curriculum Overview
In the 48-credit M.S.N., FNP degree program, your online courses will focus on the maintenance and promotion of health for families across the lifespan.
Students in the program will complete 600 hours of supervised clinical practice with patients of all ages. Graduates are eligible to sit for the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANPCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Family Nurse Practitioner exams.
