Seton Hall Surpasses $2.2M During Eighth Annual Giving Day, Marking a Record-Breaking Celebration of Pirate Pride

Led by University Advancement in collaboration with teams across the institution—including the Pirate Blue Athletic Fund and Seton Hall Law—the initiative set a record and contributed to yet another historic year. Surpassing its goal of 1,856 donors (a nod to the University's founding year), Giving Day raised over $2.2 million from 2,070 Pirates and Seton Hall Community members. These outstanding results mark the highest levels of both funds raised and donor participation since Giving Day began in 2018.

Anthony Bellucci, M.B.A. '18, Associate Vice President of Alumni Engagement & Philanthropy, shared his appreciation, stating, "The incredible support we saw this Giving Day, from every corner of our community, reminds us that great things happen when we stand as one."

The momentum continued as thousands of proud Pirates nationwide participated in matches and challenges, inspiring others to join in and unlock additional funds. Key University priorities, such as the Center for Sports Media, Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Office of International Programs, Men's and Women's Basketball Revenue Share, and the R.I.S.E. program, were highlighted, further energizing the celebration. Resources directed to these areas will have a lasting impact on Seton Hall’s pursuit of academic excellence.

The strength of Seton Hall's community lies in the passion of its Setonians, who rise to every challenge, lead with dedication, and support one another with kindness. Jon Paparsenos '99, Vice President for University Advancement, reflected,

"I am extremely grateful for the unwavering commitment of our Seton Hall community on Giving Day and beyond. As a proud alumnus and parent of a current student, I know firsthand the power of this support system—one that shaped my journey and now uplifts countless others.

Guided by the University's strategic plan and looking ahead to the next, Seton Hall stands more stable and optimistic than ever, continually raising expectations for what it can achieve for current and future Pirates. Year after year, Setonians unite to reaffirm their commitment to the University and to shaping a brighter future full of endless opportunities."

Jon continued, "None of this day's success would be possible without the generosity of our donors, the leadership of the Board of Regents, the dedication of the Executive Cabinet and Alumni Board of Directors, and the passion of so many who make Seton Hall extraordinary."

Though Giving Day has ended, it’s never too late to support Seton Hall and its key priorities. Make a gift today to help further the University's mission.
