German Dance Night - Seton Hall University
Monday, February 20, 2017
Students from a diverse and wide range of backgrounds make up the student body of this unique Club of German language, dance and culture. Their mantra is "All are welcome".Their shared goal, according to Sandy Newcomer, who founded the Club in 1987 is "Learn about German people, their language and culture, and serve others whenever you can". Back then, Ms. Newcomer started this Club with only 10 members. Today, over 100 students belong to this fun filled Club, which was recently taken over by Barbara Kauderer after Sandy Newcomer's retirement.
Ultimately, the Club's cultural offerings allow students to experience a culture beyond the limits of their brick and mortar classrooms. It helps them in their journey to become well rounded and tolerant world citizens while spreading their ideals of camaraderie and friendship.
Evening of March 2nd will be another example of our popular events featuring cultural diversity on our campus.
Come for some food, fun and fellowship!
Everyone is welcome!
German and Slavic food will be served!
