Seton Hall and SOPAC Team Up for Annual Opera Concert - Seton Hall University
Thursday, November 12, 2020
"This is a event centered on Italian music that we organize every year, and I am particularly pleased that we managed to pull it off during these difficult pandemic times," said Gabriella Romani, director of the Alberto Italian Studies Institute. "It will be a virtual concert this time, but it will still allow us at Seton Hall and the wider Italophite community to come together to enjoy a beautiful musical event. I am thankful to Dr. Dena Levine and maestro Jason Tramm, who have made it possible through their musical expertise."
The concert will feature professional musicians, including Karen Linstedt Delavan, piano accompaniment; Rochelle Bard, soprano; and Errin Duane Brooks, tenor; who will sing arias from Puccini's Tosca, Turandot, La Bohéme, as well as Verdi's Forza del Destino and Turandot.
This event is made possible thanks to the generous endowment fund donated by Angelo Rancatti '63, an alumnus who was a passionate lover of Italian music and culture.
