Seton Hall and NALHE Announce Strategic Partnership

Seton Hall University is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE), becoming one of the first universities in the nation to establish a member benefit contract with the organization. This collaboration provides NALHE members with exclusive tuition discounts as well as access to livestream events hosted by the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute.

With more than 3,000 members nationwide, NALHE is a dynamic and influential force in the healthcare space, dedicated to advancing healthcare leaders and expanding opportunities for all who share its mission. Membership is open to anyone seeking to strengthen their professional network or pursue educational growth. To provide accessibility, Dave Ortiz, president of the NALHE Tri-State Chapter, spearheaded these University relationships across the country with the hopes of having a national impact for members. Ortiz states, “This is another extension of NALHE’s efforts to provide access to its member base to elevate themselves and, insome cases, finish degrees that they once wanted but couldn’t, as well as open new doors for a new wave of master- to doctorate-level leaders of the future.”

The opportunity for this partnership within Seton Hall University  was spearheaded by Lori Tarke, DHSc., executive director of the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute, in her capacity as Chair for Academic Partnerships for NALHE’s Tri-State Chapter, and Christopher Cuccia, Associate Provost for Academic and Graduate Affairs and Institutional Research. Cuccia states, “This partnership with NALHE means that members now have access to our renowned programs, with many of them available remotely, further expanding opportunities for learners across the country.”

This collaboration underscores Seton Hall’s commitment to advancing health equity and fostering the next generation of leaders. Serving as a blueprint for organizations that might want to take advantage of these opportunities, Tarke and Cuccia welcome new pipelines of potential students. Tarke affirms, “The timing of this contract is made all the more meaningful because it's yet another reason to celebrate the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. Together, Seton Hall University and NALHE are declaring a powerful message: we are prepared to help shape the next chapter of your professional journey."
