The Chesterton Institute Launches Series II of its Podcast "Speaking about Chesterton"
Tuesday, February 11, 2025
The mission of the G. K. Chesterton Institute for Faith & Culture is to promote the thought of G. K. Chesterton and his circle and more broadly, to
explore the application of Chestertonian ideas in the contemporary world. The Institute’s
work consists of conferences, lecture series, research and writing.
As the Institute begins it second half-century of life, we are proud to announce the launch of Series II of its podcast Speaking about Chesterton on February 10, 2025. The theme of this series of podcasts is Chesterton Around the World, which consists in five episodes, during which Gloria Garafulich-Grabois, director of the Chesterton Institute and professor Dermot Quinn, editor of The Chesterton Review will explore Chesterton and various countries including: England, Ireland, Poland, France and Italy.
We begin Series II with “England,” – the country of Chesterton birth, the country he loved and that he extensively wrote about including his very well-known, or perhaps better said, popular book A short history of England. As he states in the first paragraph of the Introduction of the book as to why he would write this book, he states: “The answer is that I know just enough to know one thing: that a history from the standpoint of a member of the public has not been written.”
We welcome everyone to join us and enjoy our podcast.
New episodes are released every two weeks.
