Organized by various units across the University, including main event coordinators from Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) and the Greek Municipal Assembly (GMA), in collaboration with the Student Government Association (SGA), Student Activities Board (SAB), Dean of Students and Athletics, the week highlighted Seton Hall’s proactive approach to hazing prevention one grounded in education care and community responsibility.
Kira Casas-Puente, assistant director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, noted, “By coming together through education and engagement, our students are helping to build a community rooted in respect, trust and true Pirate pride.”
The week began with the Dare to Care Fair, where FSL hosted a self-care–themed table titled, “These Hands Don’t Haze, They Praise Self-Care.” Students received self-care grab bags, mental health pamphlets and hazing prevention materials including the University’s hazing policy and links to campus wellness resources.
On Tuesday, the University community came together for Dunk Hazing, a lively event

The week concluded on a warm note with Thursday’s Warm Up to Hazing Prevention event. Students were invited to stop by for donuts and hot chocolate, engage in conversation about hazing prevention and sign the pledge to help build a community based on respect and care.
“National Hazing Prevention Week gives us a chance to come together as a campus and
reinforce the values that make Seton Hall special,” said Karen Van Norman, associate
vice president and dean of students. “Our goal is to ensure every student feels safe
