Students at Seton Hall University Career Expo 2025

This spring, The Career Center hosted a series of Exploring Pathways Expos designed to connect students with leading employers across industries. These events offered valuable opportunities for students to network, explore potential career paths and secure internships and full-time roles while gaining a clearer understanding of what companies are looking for in today’s competitive job market.

At all three expos, 390 students attended, each ready to make connections and take the next step in their career journeys. Whether focused on corporate business, communications, government or STEM and healthcare, the events proved to be a resounding success offering something for students from all major backgrounds.

Corporate Business and Professional Services Expo
February 19, 2025
The first expo brought students from the Stillman School of Business in person with recruiters from industry leaders like Deloitte, JPMorgan Chase, PwC, KPMG and EY. Companies shared internship and full-time opportunities in finance, accounting, marketing, consulting and more.

For many students, attending these career expos was the first step toward getting a foot in the door and building connections that could lead to life-changing opportunities. One senior marketing major discovered a rotational program that perfectly aligned with their career goals, an opportunity they may not have found otherwise.

A Finance major Lina also reflected on this event and stated: “It was an invaluable experience that provided insight into the finance and marketing industries. I got to connect with top companies, learn about internships and gain a clearer idea of what skills are in demand.”

Students left with a sense of direction, next steps and confidence about their career, proof that showing up prepared and putting yourself out there really does open doors.

Communications, Humanities and Government Expo
March 11, 2025
The second expo expanded into communications, humanities and government, drawing a diverse range of employers: from nonprofits to federal agencies. Organizations such as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Community FoodBank of New Jersey and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center were among those in attendance.

Students explored opportunities in marketing, public affairs, law enforcement, education and community engagement, learning how versatile their degrees can be. Whether passionate about serving the public or creating impactful campaigns, attendees walked away with valuable connections and new possibilities.

For those who missed the event, many employers remain active on Handshake, so students can still explore openings and stay connected.

STEM, Health and Analytics Expo
March 12, 2025
The final expo brought together students interested in STEM, healthcare and analytics for an evening of meaningful conversations with employers such as Hackensack Meridian Health, Accu Reference Medical Lab, Delta-T Group and the U.S. Army.

Students from majors like computer science, biology, chemistry and healthcare explored roles in labs, healthcare systems and leadership programs. Many walked away with a better understanding of industry needs and what skills will set them apart in these fast-growing fields.

Career Connections That Last
Across all three expos, the energy was palpable, students left feeling motivated, informed and ready to take action. These events weren’t just about landing a job or internship on the spot they were about building relationships, gaining industry insight and identifying the skills needed to succeed.
